    Yesterday a member contacted me because she was feeling very down. She felt that her strengths are not valued by her manager and that she's constantly being called out for perceived weaknesses. We had a good chat about her situation and identified the need for her to request balanced feedback: what does her manager value about her contribution and what specific areas does she need to improve in. That way she'll have a clearer idea if her strengths are perceived as such in her current job, as well as what expectations she's currently not meeting. Once she has this, we're going to have a further chat about what insight she has gained from this conversation and where she should go from here.
